After playing in several bands through college, Mike found that he was more comfortable capturing performances and decided to open up his own studio. In 1985 he opened an Analog 16 track studio and was on his way to becoming very proficient with the now dying art of true analog recording. He was actively involved in the thriving indie music scene in his native Vancouver, Canada and recorded many of the influential bands at that time. In 1988 while recording demos for the band “The Sons Of Freedom” Mike met their future producer Matt Wallace. Unbeknownst to Mike, years later their paths would cross again and Mike would end up recording the Grammy winning debut album for Maroon 5. Songs about Jane has to date sold in excess of 10 million copies. Mike currently lives between Columbus Ohio and Seattle WA where he continues to develop artists and runs Curry House Records.
